The 34th Multifest kicks off this week in Charleston at Haddad Riverfront Park.
R&B fans will be treated to Ginuwine from Washington, D.C., Friday night and Brian McKnight Saturday night. The event will take place from Thursday to Sunday.

Just like during the Sternwheel Regatta, Private Outdoor Designated Area (PODA) beverages will not be allowed into the special event zone at Haddad, and beverages purchased in the special event zone will not be allowed in the PODA.
The normal weekend closure on Capitol Street from Kanawha Boulevard to Lee Street for both driving and parking will be in effect from 3 p.m. Friday to 11 p.m. Sunday.
Sunday fireworks
Multifest fireworks will start at 9:30 p.m. and will be viewable from Haddad Riverfront Park.
Starting at 7 p.m., MacCorkle Avenue between Porter Road and Corridor G will be closed.
Starting at 9 p.m., Bridge Road at Grosscup Road, Loudon Heights at Grosscup Road and the Southside Bridge will be closed.
Side roads will reopen when the fireworks conclude and after a safety inspection has been completed. MacCorkle Avenue will remain closed until the street is swept.
